# Room host

`study-host.glb` adapts **Business_Male_05** from the
[Microsoft Rocketbox avatar library](https://github.com/microsoft/Microsoft-Rocketbox)
(commit 0943055db6ec570bcef9f2c8b41c9e5467c808f9). It is an approximate likeness of
Kanishq Sharma built from a generic avatar, not a scan.

Built by `scripts/build-study-host.mjs` and `scripts/build-study-person.py` from
the pinned sources in `scripts/sources/study-host.json`. Changes: fitted to the
skeleton of `human-avatar.glb` (its notice is in
[human-avatar.LICENSE.md](human-avatar.LICENSE.md)); split into garments; hands
replaced by the study hands; tie removed; blink and smile shapes kept; textures
recoloured (black jacket and shirt), the goatee removed, the hair darkened and
resized to WebP; the face reshaped toward and painted from his own photograph
(`public/photos/me.jpg`), located with MediaPipe's face landmarker (Apache 2.0), and
the neck made fuller; a swept-back quiff generated as a solid shape with hair cards.

His motion in the room (`src/data/study-motion.json`: turning, walking, sitting,
standing and a seated idle; the visitor walks with the same capture) is Rocketbox
motion capture from the same repository and licence, retargeted onto that skeleton
by `scripts/build-study-motion.mjs` and `scripts/build-study-motion.py`.
